Glendale, CA Glendale, CA Full-time Full-time $20 an hour $20 an hour 5 days ago 5 days ago 5 days ago The Overnight Guest Services Representative is responsible for managing the front desk overnight to provide guest satisfaction meeting the company's high standards of quality service.
This position is also responsible for the end of day audit, balance and report on operation departments, such as Rooms and Food & Beverage, as well as, providing accurate, timely information to the Guest Services team and Management.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Practice OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and comply with all company safety policies and procedures Respond in a professional and courteous manner to arriving, departing and in-house guests by providing accurate and timely information and services Manage telephone and in-person inquiries regarding the guests reservations, hotel information and guest concerns per company policies Manage the front desk by greeting, registering, and assisting guests with their inquiries as well as perform wake up calls Verify that all transactions performed at the front desk are supported by documentary evidence and signatures as necessary Follows Night Audit checklists and completes job tasks in a timely manner Monitors and manages the house accounts, adjusting weekly and balancing forward daily, and correcting any balancing adjustments and/or charges that are not correct.
Post any related charges and adjustments to guest rooms and house accounts using the PMS computer and complete proper documentation for shift closing Completes credit card balancing and processing as well as auditing all daily transactions in a timely manner, ensuring that work is transmitted daily and all back-ups filed properly Accurately balances, distributes and proofreads daily gross revenue report, balancing revenue to the final and room information to the final house count Ensures that all reports, such as the daily gross revenue report, are properly recorded and distributed to the appropriate areas by 7:
00am Be knowledgeable of hotel rates, discounts, and how to handle each item while promoting any marketing programs established to ensure the success for the hotel Manage all deliveries for guests' requests or other delivery needs including, but not limited to faxes, boxes, luggage, rollaway beds, cribs, etc.
Notify the proper department for deliveries Perform other duties as assigned Minimum
Qualifications:
Must have one (1) year of experience in hotel guest services Excellent communication (written and verbal) and technical skills Must be fluent in English; bilingual preferred Ability to follow directions and training, but work independently May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays Physical Requirements:
Ability to move and lift large, bulky and/or heavy objects up to 25 pounds Ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, repetitive bending, and other physical activities Ability to perform tasks with repetitive hand motion (i.
e.
typing) for extended periods of time Job Type:
