Physicians Adventist Surgery Center Physicians Adventist Surgery Center Glendale, CA Glendale, CA Full-time Full-time $76,321 - $88,517 a year $76,321 - $88,517 a year 8 days ago 8 days ago 8 days ago This position is responsible for providing administrative and operational oversight for a multi-specialty surgery center for a private joint venture between Adventist Health Glendale and a group of physicians.
The surgery center has 4 OR's and a GI Procedure room, that performs over 7000 cases annually that included the specialties of ENT, General Surgery , Bariatrics, Gastroenterology, Gynecologic, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Pain Management, Plastic/Reconstructive Surgery, Podiatry and Urology.
Clinical oversight includes working with a Medical Staff Membership of over 150 physicians, and 100 staff members consisting of nurses, surgical technicians, ancillary and business office personnel.
Administrative duties include orchestration of Governing Board meetings, development of strategic business plans, budget oversight, productivity and key initiatives monthly analysis, ongoing fiscal oversight, and daily business operations.
Additional responsibilities include:
1.
Managing Quality Assurance/Risk Management/ Infection Control and adherence to standards of practice as set forth by CMS/TJC/CDPH or other state agencies as predicated on needs.

Working with contracted HR Firm, providing on-site oversight for all Human Resources matters.
This includes managing hiring and/or termination of all employees, processing payroll and status changes, management of retirement and benefits programs, and serving as primary liaison for employee medical or legal issues.
3.
Management of external contracts.
This responsibility includes both vendors and insurance payors.
Initiation of contracts with vendors and annual review of all contracts.
Work with contract negotiations team for Insurance payor contracts, maintain credentialing with payors and participate in evaluations conducted by payors.
Job requirements include a strong background in finance and business development.
Must have some formal leadership training and HR knowledge, as well as experience with physician and staff relations.
Registered Nurse is preferred, but not required.
Education and
Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school with a Bachelor's degree in the healthcare or business industry, Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience within the health care industry, and at least two (2) years of supervisor or administrative experience in a large ambulatory surgery center.
Reports directly to the Governing Board of the center and works directly with Hospital Administration and Medical Director.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
