The Client Resources Coordinator I serves clients through counseling, advocacy and guidance in the Community Center.
Assesses client's needs and counsels them in regard to achieving their personal goals; develops and carries out care plans for clients and answers their inquiries.
Responsibilities Provide Case Management, community resources and support to clients in need.
Determine correct course of action when assisting clients Provides oversight to volunteers, as needed.
Receives referrals, conducts intake/screening and needs assessments.
Creates and maintains client files and contact logs per program requirements.
Conduct mental health and wellbeing assessments.
Assists with employment readiness training and job search/placement services.
Coordinates referrals and tracks issuances for emergency food, shelter, clothing, rental assistance, transportation, medical, and other special needs.
Provides regular evaluation of client progress to ensure satisfactory progress.
Displays sensitivity to client's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Attends trainings, meetings, webinars and other events on behalf of the department.
Promotes continuous quality improvement and service delivery according to the Agency's mission.
Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; completion of 2 years of college required.
Six to twelve months of related experience Bilingual English/Spanish preferred - fluent speaking and writing.
Ability to plan and lead short- and long- range activities.
Effective handling of public contact and relationships.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships.
Displays sensitivity, tact, and responsiveness in various situations and needs.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
Uses independent judgment and initiative, analyze and resolve problems.
Writes and speaks clearly, persuasively, and informatively.
Resettlement experience is a plus.
Proficient in Database software; Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
