AS NEEDEDMAJOR FUNCTION:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Service & Repairs Specialist is responsible for receiving, inspecting and auditing inbound/outbound service & repairs pieces, as well as processing quotes, orders and jobs for service & repair needs.
Strong relationships with retail partners and superior customer experiences are critical to the success of this role.
POSITION
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain quality procedures for checking inbound and outbound goods Inspect and review the assembly of jewelry as well as evaluate diamonds, colored stones, and metal to ensure that all quality standards are met.
Processes new jewelry orders and release jobs for manufacturing.
Processes upgrades and remakes.
Assesses level of credit to be applied.
Processes all requests for components and findings.
Administrative tasks include logging the rejections, pulling Tacori journeys correspondence, various reporting.
Receives all shipments of repairs and processes according to priority.
Determines the total number of QC rejections and logs accordingly.
Responsible for process review and documentation as necessary.
Communicate to customers via email and/or phone regarding questions about service repairs, costs, issues, etc.
Communicates internally to various departments regarding service, repairs, upgrades and remakes.
Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred.
2-4 years' experience in customer service background.
Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Proficiency in all Office programs:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Knowledge of quality control/assurance practices and tools preferred.
Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing and inspection process a plus.
Ability to prioritize, organize and schedule tasks within a fast-paced work environment.
Strong problem solving and quantitative analytical skills to generate quotes, calculate costs, etc.
Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining business relationships.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Proceed with caution when walking on slippery floors and congested areas.
Ensure that proper safety instructions are given before operating any equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work in a standard office environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms, sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch.
Sitting for extended periods of time.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
