This Imagineer is responsible for mechanical engineering including design, analysis, calculations, modeling and specifications for building HVAC systems and plumbing; compressible fluid and cryogenic systems and central energy installations for an individual facility/attraction, land, or theme park project.
This is an approximately 24 month Project Hire position with no guarantee of permanent placement.
You Will:
Provide construction administration support through site visits, shop drawing review, and sketch documentation under the direction senior staff supervision Prepare designs and analyses in support of construction contract document production Ensure technical quality and conformance to department standards and procedures Provide root cause analysis with solution options, risks and recommendations to senior leadership Research and select systems/equipment that satisfies design parameters, all applicable codes and Disney standards You Will Have:
General knowledge of the mechanical engineering discipline, including industry practices, construction methods and materials, codes, current technology and the preparation and use of contract documents in all phases of design and construction Experience with 3D CAD technology and analytical software for mechanical engineering design, production and analysis 2 or more years of work experience in mechanical engineering, including the production and use of contract documents for commercial or industrial projects Education:
Graduate of an accredited engineering school with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Engineer-In-Training certification, if not already licensed as a professional engineer Preferred
Qualifications:
Understanding the fundamental plumbing systems (storm, sanitary, vent, water, and gas) is desired, and proficiency with laying out and sizing the plumbing systems Advanced knowledge of the mechanical engineering discipline as it relates to facility design and construction, including campus piping network design, HVAC design and engineering, plumbing system sizing and design, construction methods and materials, and regulatory codes and standards.
Experience with developing BMS (Building Management System) control diagrams and sequence of operations is preferred Experience performing life cycle analysis of various HVAC systems on the basis of energy use, first cost and life expectancy Active membership in ASHRAE #DPEPMedia #LI-BC1 Benefits and Perks:

/>The hiring range for this position in California is $92,742.
00 to $124,410.
00 per year.
The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
