Panda Inn in Glendale is having an open call on TUESDAY, OCT 7th between 1-3PM. Please come prepared with a resume. We are looking for a host/hostess and a busser/delivery driver. Duties are listed below and are not limited to:
Host/Hostess:
Must have a warm and welcoming smile as you are the forefront of the restaurant.
Greeting guests politely and escorting them to their respective tables, pulling seats for them and ensuring that they are comfortable.
Checking reservations and answering messages to ensure that all reservations are catered for.
Checking with the manager in preparation for any large parties to be held at the restaurant.
Keeping an eye on the dining room, entryway, and ensuring that cleanliness is maintained in all operations.
Making sure that all menus are well wiped, are free of stains or spots and are overall, well maintained.
Ensuring that entry doors are hygienic -- free from debris and welcoming.
Routine bathroom checks to make sure all toiletries are stocked and that floors, mirrors, and entire area is clean.
Saying goodbye to guests and enquiring from them about the quality of services provided at the restaurant.
Taking phone calls for take out orders and providing any questions regarding the menu to the guests.
Packing to-go orders and ensuring each dish is accounted for.
Taking payments for to-go orders. Meticulous cash handling is vital!
Busser/Delivery Driver: Must have reliable transportation.
Clear all tables of dishes and debris.
Reset tables with proper care ensuring tablecloths are nice and flat on the table, there should be no visible marks and that silverware is put in the proper area.
Continually manicuring tables making sure to remove empty glasses, plates and used silverware from table.
Carry trays of dirty dishes to the kitchen and properly place them in respective areas.
Maintain floor areas to ensure they are regularly clean and dry.
Clean all spills and breakage immediately.
Restock table linens, glasses, teacups, as needed to the server station.
Assist servers with drinks when necessary.
Communicate with the hostess for any upcoming parties to prepare for table set up.
Pack to go orders, as well as utensils and sauces as needed for any deliveries.
Upon arrival of the delivery, go through the order with the guest to make sure everything is in order.
