Our Entertainment Client, located near Glendale, CA is looking for a Contract Infrastructure Project Manager for their Media Technology & Strategy Group. Project is expected to last approximately 5 months or longer.

This person will be responsible for project management efforts and will support the PMO's core mission of performance management and facilitate the PMO's processes and workflows. This position will report into the Project Management Pool Lead.
PROJECT MANAGER, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a high level of competency in project management practices and methods.
Lead the successful execution of projects through proper management of scope schedule and budget.
Performs constant analysis of projects health using best practice techniques such as risk analysis, requirements trace ability, earned value calculations and alignment to business goals and benefits.
Creation and management of various supporting documents including but not limited to project plans, risk mitigation plans, communication plans, resource requirements, project costs and all other project management-related documentation.
Manage multiple unrelated projects simultaneously.
Gather various elements of project performance data and routinely report such to the project team, stakeholders and PMO leadership.
Development and/or review of estimates and estimating assumptions for the project's schedule, effort, and cost as well as planned benefits using established estimating models and best practices.
Maintain constant oversight of project budgets
Coordinating all phases of the project including requirements gathering, design, development, test, and deployment
Coordinating all project activities with business owners/stakeholders and other support, technical infrastructure, and application teams
Review and manage all changes to the requirements through a formally defined scope change process
Manage the processes that identify the business value of the project from concept through execution. Ongoing monitoring and reporting of the validity of the expected value and ensuring expected value is being delivered.
Performs miscellaneous PMO related duties as assigned.
Provide project oversight/audit compliance related to established department processes and standards for projects managed by external vendors or groups.
Coach/mentor other project managers, coordinators and administrators.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Proven ability to execute high-profile, multi-million dollar projects
Advanced level knowledge of industry and professional organization (PMI) practices in managing projects
Demonstrated excellence in communications (verbal and written), presentation, financial management, analytical and customer focus skills
Experience in managing, external contractors both on and/or offshore
Experience managing budgets and reporting financial status of projects
Proven track record with both working with technical & functional teams
The preferred candidate will have 4-6 years' experience as a Project Manager
Able to document and communicate progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary
Able to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards
Experience managing projects using a formal SDLC (Waterfall and Agile) and business analysis methodologies
Ability to work well with technical and non-technical resources
Able to take strategic direction from executive management and participate in planning activities throughout the lifetime of the project
Able to see tasks through to completion with minimal guidance
Knowledge of Microsoft Project Server and Greenhopper desirable
PMP Certification required
CSM required
Experience within Digital Media and/or Information Technology areas desirable

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
