Director of Nursing For High-Growth Outpatient Surgery Clinic
Wanted: Proven and Experienced Director of Nursing (DON) For A Fast-Paced, High-Growth Health Care Company in Glendale, CA.
We are looking for a qualified, experienced and highly-motivated Director of Nursing (DON) to help manage a fast-growing Outpatient Surgery Clinic and ensure the delivery of quality care to our patients. If you are in line with the following goals and skills, we wish to talk to you right away.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on Management Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) or Operating Room/Surgical Services in an Acute Care Setting.
Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor's/Master's Degree, with current and unrestricted licensure, and must have BCLS and ACLS Certification.
Knowledge and experience with Licensure, CMS and JC/AAAHC Accreditation, including knowledge in CMS, OSHA, Accreditation and AORN Standards.
Effective Management Skills, including Problem-Solving Skills, Financial Management, Multi-Tasking Ability, Attention to Detail, Positive Professional Interpersonal Skills and the ability to function well and deliver results under pressure and deadlines.
Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation experience required.
Must be able to occasionally work on weekends.
Core Duties, Responsibilities and Accountability include:
Planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the clinical operations of the Company's Outpatient Surgery Center.
Overseeing all other Clinical Staff (i.e., Nurses, Scrub Technicians, etc.).
Ensuring that all patient needs are met in accordance with Regulatory Requirements and Standards, and Company Policy.
Ensuring that proper techniques and procedures are used according to accepted AORN Standards of Practice and Organizational Policies and Procedures.
Ensuring efficient time management and optimization of all equipment, instruments and resources by anticipating patient needs and providing appropriate care.
Compensation:
Full-Time / Salary Negotiable, Commensurate with Experience.
