Summary:
The Boiler Engineer is responsibility is to service and maintain the high-pressure gas and fuel oil boilers and other supporting apparatus to established industry standards and in accordance with all applicable safety regulations. The work is performed in accordance with State and Local requirements, OSHPD, NFPA, TJC, FM and other regulatory standards.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Performs routine operations, servicing and maintenance of the boilers and auxiliary equipments.
Ensures the maintenance of proper operating pressure in the boilers, distribution system, and safeties.
Operating Engineers or Stationary Engineers License for operating high pressure boilers.
Education and
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in engineering or a related field of study is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years job experience in operating steam or water boilers is required.
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain boiler unlimited operator's license from an accredited agency within 9 months of employment.
