Other Duties include but are not limited to:
Recruit and hire subordinate staff members in line with merit staffing procedures and equal employment opportunity guidelines. Assign work to staff and provide technical and policy direction to their efforts. Review completed work of the staff and provide feedback to encourage top performance to enhance an atmosphere of team work in the office. Plan training and development with subordinate employees to assure they acquire and maintain both technical competencies in their fields and cross training in related fields. Resolve staff complaints concerning working conditions and related matters, and provides referral services, if necessary, to employees who develop personal problems that interfere with effective performance or undermine work group cohesiveness. Conducts administrative support functions at the Greater Los Angeles VA Health Care System Medical Records Committee meetings to include, writing the meeting minutes, sending our meeting reminders, and action items. Run the medical record timeliness and delinquency reports. Prepares the reports with a cover letter for distribution to Service Chiefs and medical records committee Chair at the direction of the Assistant Manager and Manager, HIM. Keep current with regulatory requirements of the medical record. Applies new policies, provides advice on requirements, maintains administrative systems, and prepares administrative paperwork. Interprets administrative policies, develops and implements local polices and standard operating procedures. As assigned, investigate and prepare written correspondence to Congressional requests for the signature of the Chief HIM or designee. Ensure that timesheets are created, reviewed for accuracy, and posted in accordance with established guidelines of the Chief, HAS/HIM, and within the constraints necessary for timecard certification deadlines. Specialized
Experience:
To qualify at the GS-7 level, You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-06) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Working with patient information systems to include file classification systems and related files; classifying, cross-referencing and indexing materials; and preparing reports. (This experience must be supported by your resume to be creditable.) You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
